I have never done this before, so please bear with me!!
Perhaps I should start by introducing myself - my name is Clive Ingram and I am now fully retired having worked for 42 years in the UK nuclear industry. Ever since I was quite young I have been fascinated by cameras and making images but became a really keen photographer some 10 years or more ago.
My working career was always a very technical scientific world (as were my degrees) and I suppose I was always a little frustrated that I had no artistic outlet. Photography now gives me that outlet and allows me to look at the world in a slightly different way. I don't claim to be a professional (or even aspiring professional) photographer but I am trying to improve with each image I take and that learning journey in itself is hugely fascinating and keeps my brain active.
I have always enjoyed landscape photography as I am most at peace when out in the countryside. Many of my images hence reflect my passion for landscapes. However, after purchasing a Nikon Z9 (a retirement present to myself), it seemed crazy not to use some of the cameras amazing wizardry to try my hand at wildlife photography. This has proved to be challenging but incredibly rewarding at the same time and you will find galleries of some of my wildlife work (please take a look).
In the coming months I have photography journeys planned to the Yorkshire Dales, Scotland and to Svalbard so please look out for some of those images in my galleries. I hope to now keep blogging and would be so grateful if you could follow me as it will encourage me to keep going.
Thanks for reading this - any feedback appreciated.
Clive
