My second blog! Well the last week has been relatively quiet but I did get out to Venus Pools nature reserve in Shropshire (and even took my wife for her first birding trip - which I am led to believe she enjoyed). The day was bright spring sunshine quite cold at first but the hide slowly warmed up (helped by a cup of hot coffee). As ever there was a huge variety of birds and we saw mallards, Canada geese, oyster catchers, egret, swans, lapwing etc.
The image above was of one of the 4 mute swans sailing serenely on the pool as it was hit by the warm sunshine making for a very tranquil image with a nice reflection as there was very little breeze. A wonderfully peaceful morning that always lifts the soul.
This is only a short blog but I hope my third will be somewhat longer as I am heading off shortly to do some landscape photography in the Yorkshire Dales. Until then I hope you enjoy this image and thank you all for your support.
